Seasonal turnips , lettuce leaves and carrots from the garden are cooked in olive oil with a little salt to taste. Soak them for 30 minutes or until they’re softened. Then add one clove of garlic to each 1/4 cup water you added; bring to a boil on low heat. You can see how this cooks by putting something out into the cold side (like your palm) against the flame before adding it back later.)If there is no smoke coming off the top, then continue heating through without cutting any branches around the pan! Once all of the vegetables have boiled, throw away the bay leaves that were still attached.
